In his interview butler says we can get better, no shite we could hardly get sny worse, so negative he couldn’t even say we will get better and the performances wasn’t acceptable.
November 30, 2024 at 11:34 pm #294888We can do better,
And we will do better !!!
Two months and still playing Cr_p.
Time we havnt got anymore.
Not showing any confidence
In his interview. No more fist pumps. Carnt get down the tunnel fast enough.
He carnt understand why they played so bad !!!
Just look in the mirror Andy and you will see the answer.5 users thanked author for this post.
December 1, 2024 at 1:41 am #294895In 12 of our 24 games this season, we have scored one goal or less.

December 1, 2024 at 3:36 am #294899i only listened to the game on HR and it sounded as bad as it gets , nothing held back by Torps and the HR commentator in saying the worst game they had seen. Match stats say it all.
Then after a wait along came ABs interview which was head shakingly bad also, he actually seemed ok with the result clean sheet (yawn) and performance and admitted to set up to nullify Alfreton.
IMO its time for AB to go but it wont happen unless we carry on playing crap falling down the table by which time this season can be written off.
Lots of very frustrated long standing loyal fans on SM platforms slating AB , his chosen setup, tactics and the player effort …. so expect attendances to plummet.
Its tight at the top and no game for 2 weeks so all those around us playing games in hand can leap frog us , so probably around 6thor7th come Marine away.
VERY DOUBTFUL BUT IF it does happen .. who do you think / want to take over ..im hoping the club move away from employing ex players and anyone anyone with ties to SUFC this seemingly favoured policy has to change.

December 1, 2024 at 5:23 am #294901He has to go and thus give us some chance of improving into a team which might just steal into a playoff slot.
December 1, 2024 at 6:11 am #294904When we go part time, will the manager be the same… you’d guess so?
December 1, 2024 at 11:00 am #294926Hill & Dean had no previous links with the club.
Laws, Adkins & Alexander all did!

December 1, 2024 at 11:16 am #294931Doesn’t get any worse than yesterday’s display. Left on 75 mins as nephew was fed up and wanted to leave (a common theme this season as he’s spent the majority of games fiddling with his mobile phone rather than watching the match, but I suppose thats a reflection of the football on offer) at which point there had been no attendance announcement, but was markedly quieter than previous Saturdays. Not much to say on the football other than dreadful. All too predictable the way it’s panning out under Butler. Another deluded interview on humberside where he seemed somewhat satisfied with a point and a clean sheet masking just how horrifically bad the game was. Boos at half time were loud enough so can imagine it wasn’t too pleasant at full time as the wedge between team and fans gets greater. League position continues to flatter even at 3rd (or 7th if those with games in hand win), we will be thanking our lucky stars to make the play offs this season. If someone offered us 7th now we’d have to snap their hand off?

December 1, 2024 at 12:15 pm #294937I wanted Butler to succeed which would have meant we were succeeding but enough is enough. We will be down to a 1500 club again if this carries on, and no one wants that. The effort of Michelle and everyone else will have been undermined. I would have been prepared to give Andy till after Christmas because it’s not nice to be out of work but football is a cut throat business and he would be paid off. Having said that after yesterday he’s got to go and before our next game.

Totally agree.
We’ve gone backwards. I don’t think Beck was the right signing neither as we’ve now gone from trying to pass and play some kind of football to just lumping it forward so these so called wingbacks aren’t needed.
Trying to pass that’s a thing in itself.
Mid Midfield is the main point of concern where we needed a rough tackler with some presence.
Not only the wingbacks weren’t needed yesterday showed midfield was totally bypassed.
Bewildering the formation when it came out. Even more so that the best player for past few weeks after actually getting a start to be dropped to the bench for an unknown whom had trained one day with the squad to play straight away.
Wonder how Brogan took it being dropped. As we are supposedly the fittest team why are players rested after two games.3 users thanked author for this post.
December 1, 2024 at 1:21 pm #294944Does the board actually come to the match and watch the rubbish that is being served up, surely they can see AB is taking this club down. There is currently a petition going round asking for a new general election. Maybe its time we started a petition to the board for a new manager!!

I was just listing the successful ones IFA, although you could argue Wilcox was successful up to a point. Certainly Knill and Cox struggled and Butler is currently making a complete dog’s breakfast of it.
IMO our best managers have always been motivators. Don’t think we’ve had anyone who fits that description recently.
December 1, 2024 at 1:44 pm #2949482 weeks till the next game 3 till the next home game plenty of time to get a new manager in, Michelle said 55 applied last time maybe give an interview or 2 out.
The board unlike with Swann and Hilton are fans of the club, if they are supporters then they’ll see something needs addressing and will do the right thing no matter what.
it will add cost debt to the club but now’s the time to act before Butler does more damage to the club and the goodwill the fans have given to it, or next fans will start berating them at games.3 users thanked author for this post.
December 1, 2024 at 1:53 pm #294954The cost to pay off this manager will be minimal to the club compared to with if the last manager had their hands on the chequebook..
December 1, 2024 at 2:08 pm #294958Cant have been that big a chequebook the debts paid down, on the back of a average crowd of 4200 and the revenue that brings in. 4040 this season and plumiting.

December 1, 2024 at 2:15 pm #294959Our supposed average attendance is 4040, gates recently are around 3500 (and decreasing) as season ticket holders will continue to turn up because they have already paid for their tickets it means the club is losing the revenue from the sale of tickets to 500 fans. At £15 per ticket thats £7500.00 minimum. This at a time when we had to play a cup match behind closed doors because we could not afford to pay for the security

Agree .. good call i had forgotten about Knill .. maybe best his tenure was far from memorable.
Im not sure this fascination with bringing in (or back) managers and / or players with ties to club is good or bad but it does seem to get a lot of social media time.
I was really hoping AB succeeded alas its not going well .. i do still predict AB will be here until the end of the season scrambling the way to a 7th to 10th finish at which point he will be relieved of his duties, hope im wrong as sadly he really needs to go ASAP

December 1, 2024 at 9:11 pm #294977Knill had the promise of a budget when he came – and it was reduced hugely as soon as he tried to use it.
December 1, 2024 at 9:13 pm #294979Butler’s approach is similar to Knill’s. Those two are both cut from the same defensive cloth.

Think the petition has already been started and people are signing it by not attending matches.
December 1, 2024 at 9:24 pm #294984Spoke very well in this latest interview IMO but no doubt some will take issue with aspects of it and resort to insults like ‘buffoon’ and ‘thicko’
Completely agree Deerey, totally out of line comments and a complete insult… To ‘buffoons’ and ‘thickos’ worldwide. Even they would recognise that the same action repeated over and over will yield the same results, unlike our inept manager who fails to realise such. His interviews are almost as dreadful as his football but I’m glad you like them.

December 2, 2024 at 10:43 am #295007Its actually worse than that JohnMMaw, the first 5 games averaged 4400 the next below 3600 so thats 800 that have left the building and are hardly likely to return anytime soon.

Total home league attendance for the ten games to date = 35,975
Average attendance = 3,598

December 3, 2024 at 2:39 pm #295069My apologies, when I wrote my comment it was showing 4040 – I see now it has dropped to 3990. Still a few hundred not showing up and providing the money that the club desperately needs
