Their manager says they need an ugly 0-0

It may end up 0-0 but I think that there will be a couple of errors and it’ll be 1-1

Surely the trick is to get a couple of goals and then let them waste as much time as they like. We cannot afford to go for a draw.

Definitely no Alfie Beestin tonight, according to Butler’s new interview on BBC Humberside.

Difficult not to get sucked into their way of playing but we must resist getting into a game of head tennis; that home fixture was possibly the worst game of football I’ve witnessed at GP.

Early goal will do our chances the world of good although I fear no Beestin/Whitehall could make chances few and far between.

    1-1

A wins a must, no excuses even though our away from since xmas is poor to say the least 6 points from 5 games, their form is even poorer 7 points from the last 42 points available.

No stupid sending off like last season, on it from minute one and give the fans something to cheer about.
Going tonight and Saturday and nothing else but 6 points will do it’s that time of the season when points make prizes.

I’m going for a 2-0 Iron win, again we aren’t playing the way we were when we met back in November. They desperately need a win and may be a little more open as a result which should suit us, they are a poor excuse for a football team, their style and time wasting are appalling, just go stuff em guys.

Feels like a huge match the closer it gets to KO. Hope the players are totally up for the challenge.

From the 1st whistle on the floor, neat and sharp passing and the passes in front of the runner.

Down the side and crosses or at pace running in on goal and shots from 20 – 30 yds out with front men waiting for rebounds.

Looks OK to me, I’d be happy with any of them in the starting line up.

Agreed only one forward/winger fit enough for the bench shows we need Beestin fit for Saturday.

Yep, liked that. A satisfying rather than enjoyable watch, though the goals were cracking. Well crafted and taken by Carlton and Scales. Stubborn in defence. Much better second half and apart from the chance they should have scored from the rebound, didn’t really trouble us too much. Really handy having Beck today. More than dealt with the physicality. Some flick ons could have been better but he was a proper handful and retained possession well. Looked solid and up for it tonight. Managed the game well throughout. Delighted. Particularly with Brackley drawing. Just listening to Butler being interviewed. Lol, Sex Pistols on Bill Grundy moment.

Thought my screen wasn’t big enough to cope with all the balls in the air, both goals were as a result of playing on the ground . Well one Iron!

What a great result in what is going to be a huge month for the club, repeat next Tuesday at Kidderminster and the biggest game of the season follows on Saturday 22nd March. Butler must be well chuffed, he’s had a proper mixed season with wrong team shape and tactics, falling out with radio journalists, fans on his back yet he’s turned things around by being prepared to change and he’s changed because he’s a young manager learning his trade. We still aren’t guaranteed anything from this season but what we have is a good young manager in the making, fair play to him.

Missing a few games atm unfortunately but a potential banana skin last night.
Good win away where we may have drawn that one a few months back.

What’s up with Beestin? He needs to be fit for the run in.

    Excellent result.

Shaky first 30 minutes but the players worked relentlessly again and dug it out. Nice to see Carlton grab another goal
    And assist.
