    Loans?
You mean players of whom the majority won’t be all that bothered?
Loan players have to be known really well by the management team as to their potential attitude and dedication to the cause.
(Alternatively, we can get people who have been recommended by their own, wholly unbiased agent!)
Punctuated by a very small handful of super-loanees, over years we have had shedloads of dross.
These players do not come for free. Many will be out-earning the average salary by quite a lot.
The bog standard ones which are loaned as a favour may be cheap but ,,,

As long as it’s not one of those jigsaws you buy from a charity shop, that is a picture of kittens and has one piece missing!

One missing piece would be a bit of a result at this stage! Better than the empty box we currently have.

    Dunno!

To be fair we’ve a few pieces of sky. But as yet none of those corner pieces that are critical to solving the puzzle.

Burny he is the first part of the jigsaw

I just hope we aren’t relying on Hallam for the midfield creative spark when there’s a big chance he’ll be injured for most of it.

If we sign a more creative midfielder, fair enough. Reduced budget though and we already have Hallam, spence, Beestin and Kenyon soon.

Will we even go out for another CM player ?

A cheap loan for the season at a push but I can’t see another permanent one coming in.

Sorry council man. From the gob on you I thought you must work for our useless lot.
You obviously eork for ANOTHER useless bunch😅😄🙂

Well he’s signed and young Dawson has departed to Celtic, whatever the view on Kenyon lets give the lad the benefit of the doubt until he’s kicked a few balls around in an Iron shirt. Welcome young man and the very best of luck.

If he’s as committed as the Morecambe fans say he is, let’s hope it rubs off on the ownership and management!

    Welcome Alex.

220 league 2 games and approaching the prime of his career, certainly a step in the right direction even if he won’t be a shirt seller.

Disagree with the idea that loan signings don’t care, Les. Only within the last couple years we’ve managed to land a few bad eggs and 2 of whom last year belonged to that Godders agent.

With a reduced budget they will be crucial to our transfer strategy this year.

Well he looks happy in that signing photo anyway. Good start. Hope he’s still smiling in a few months.

Sounds like a Bish which is exactly what we’ve needed since he left. It’s been painfully obvious. Good start and hopefully the first of many.

The more cynical might suggest he’s smiling because he’s signed for the only club that would have kept him in the league.

Not that cynical. Though if that’s the case I’m sure he’ll be even more determined to make the move work.

    Loan signings can be great……
we’ve had a few eg, Stevie Mac from rangers, Trotter & Taylor from Bolton, sharp from sheff U, keogh from Leeds, Toney from Newcastle and there’s many more…
Just look at the success Lincoln have had this year with half their first team made up of loan players…
Do it right and it’s a potential succession plan!!
Problem is this current regime fill me with zero confidence in the loan market… where are our links with champ/prem clubs?? We don’t have any!!!
Maybe because we’ve had an U23 team lol 😂
