Maybe picking on the wrong player here but been really frustrated with him lately. I feel like he over hits every cross and he’s not been taking on his man enough, time for Green to get a little run out IMO.

I appreciate that every member has his own views on each player, and rightly so, but in my opinion Gilliead is our most consistant and best player in the squad. When we have players that give very little in matches like Turan, Hippolyte, Loft, Howard, Taylor and Jarvis, how can Gilliead be singled out is unreal.

These players plus the Manager, the goal keeping coach and the scouting team are where the real problems are coming from, and you can also include the Club Chairman because he is in charge of this pathetic crew of staff and he cannot see how useless they all are.

I’m not trying to “single” him out, I agree he’s put in some good performances this season and there’s a talented player in there, however the last 3/4 games he’s dropped a little and I was just suggesting maybe it’s time to give him a break and freshen it up a little.

Clearly not the worst player but I do sometimes wonder what others see in him that I’m missing.

I still think he’s wasted out wide, would be a much better option alongside one of Spence or Beestin who, for me, are too similar as a midfield pairing.

It is hardly possible to give him a break KeadbyIron, we already have the likes of Loft, Hippolyte, Jarvis and Howard in the team, and half the bench are National League players at best, who would you suggest they bring in?? As I stated, I respect your views on things, but please don’t give Cox any idea’s on what to do. What is so difficult for me to understad is the Hippolyte at full back, when we have two far better players in Rowe and O’Malley who cannot get a game, what the hell have they done wrong, because they were both playing so well!!!

In January we must bring in a new centre forward and a goal keeper, because it now looks like the club will just be fighting to stay in League Two for the forseeable future, my worry is when I say bring players in,who the hell is to choose them, because the club scouting team is a joke!!!, and Cox’es two signings being Toran and Hippolyte from his non-league obsaervations, for Christ sake do not let him anywhere near the transfer book.

Amuses me the way people are classing Dunwald-Turan in the same bracket as Loft, Jarvis and Hippolyte.

He’s started just two games. Away at Crawley, where he played the full 90 minutes, and home to Solihull in the FA Cup where he lasted 71.

His only other two appearances have been as a sub. He got 37 minutes away at Tranmere and 3 away at Exeter.

A grand total of 201 minutes, all in games ending in defeat. He hasn’t even made the bench since mid November!

To say this guy did not need to be signed by the club as he is clearly surplus to requirements is an understatement!

He made one appearance for Bristol Rovers. That should have told us something along with his only two goals in English football being on loan at Weston-super-Mare!

Someone we definitely need to ask Godders and Swanners about!

Nige loved KDT in the game he played at Crawley. The club gave him a 2 year deal so we’re stuck with him and have to hope he comes up with something.

To go from 90 minutes to 71 to 37 to 3 to not in the match day squad of 18 would suggest it ain’t going to happen any time soon.

Gilliead was awesome first half and pretty decent in the second.
Some of the passes made were top notch. Passes hit far too hard to him he collected like a premiership CM on quite a few occasions.
The experiment worked. If it gets the best game in a while out of Alex and their best games at the club for Taylor, Hippolyte and arguably, Cordner, then the manager merits praise.

I to thought Taylor looked like the player we were told he was when we signed him last night, Hippolyte also but someone needs to show him how to defend properly before he gets hurt by pulling out of tackles.

I also thought Taylor did at least try to run forward with the ball when he came on against Mansfield, one run leading to the second goal. His last impression however in that game was an abysmal shot in the last 30 seconds of that match.

He did more in the few minutes he was on than most who started the game.

I thought Gillead was poor playing centrally at the start of the season and thought Ferrite was mad to suggest moving him back there but maybe there is something in it.

Maybe he was poor at the start becasue we were so shit as a whole.

With Green on the right it could work thought both did well last night.

Gilliead is a Championship player trapped in League Two.

I think Green will offer more going forward and with a fitter/sharper Clarke at right-back, the need to put Gilliead out there for his defensive attributes is less pressing.

I think you’re right about the start of the season, especially with the lack of options up front.

    Green is developing nicely.
Going to be a solid player – perhaps better.
