Iron Bru › Forums › Blast Furnace › Alan Brook RIP
RIP Alan. Season ticket holder and Iron Trust member too.
An absolute top bloke. Iron through and through. Be sadly missed by many in the grove wharf, especially the F row crew.
Is that Tony Goslings mate.
My mate in Scunthorpe has confirmed it is and he was a really nice bloke and has a young daughter, the strange thing is I knew him as Brookie but never knew his first name, his dad died outside the ground a year a two ago so this will be a awful time for his family, RIP Alan you will be missed at the Sands Venue
Still in shock. Al was my friend for 45 years. He was a great friend, father, husband, brother and has followed the Iron home and away for decades. Will be missed by many.
Known ‘Brookie’ for a long time. Stated in local saturday league with Nypro FC. Was a very good player.
Was Iron through and through, he loved the club. Sympathy to his family. RIP Brookie the club have lost a good one.
Brookie, an absolute top guy.
When I used to go to GP regular I used to sit in row G in the Gluggy stand and Brookie was always there in Row F, he was always friendly, and always offered an opinion on the football, he was a true Iron fan.
He was a really nice and genuine person.
It is a sad loss to lose him.
RIP Alan.
Alan will be making his final visit to Glanford Park on Wednesday 14th April at 11:00am.
Thats how much the Iron meant to him.
gutted for you IK.
Don’t think I know the guy personally, but will make every effort to go down and pay my respects hope many others do to. He’s one of our own.
