September 12, 2022 at 2:04 pm #244834Are all our own youth players injured or deemed not good enough by the coach who has brought them through the ranks. Bringing senior players in fair enough, but it’s not sending a good message to our own.

As long as the Gary you refer to isn’t Gary Bull, I’m with you on that one.
September 12, 2022 at 3:03 pm #244838If we start scoring goals it doesn’t matter if you let a odd one in, if the forwards aren’t doing their bit it puts pressure on the defence, we need to start winning games and we certainly haven’t with the players we have got, and most have been disappointing defeats against teams we should be beating or at least get a point against.
September 12, 2022 at 3:18 pm #244839Hope he can make a difference, but that’s four inexperienced youths expecting to start. Heading down the same pathway that’s failed before.swapping and changing after every match doesn’t work.keep a starting eleven together for four or five games and see if they can gel together..
September 12, 2022 at 3:33 pm #244840Yep another young forward albeit with a bit of pedigree with young England and a handful of appearances with his club. Welcome Aiden, all Iron fans wish you the very best of luck and maybe you along with Rob Apter can form a successful partnership to provide us with some goals to cheer.

Sadly become the norm here.

Perhaps that doesn’t fit the path of decline !
September 12, 2022 at 4:22 pm #244843Would you prefer a 19yo loanee at centre back?
September 12, 2022 at 4:59 pm #244844Having seen Taft play 4 times already this season, I would happily have the new Scunny Bunny at centre back

September 12, 2022 at 5:23 pm #244845Our experienced players as well as the youth players will soon be getting the hump sat on the bench twiddling their thumbs watching novice players gain match time which their parent club can’t give them possibly because they aren’t that good anyway.where as we palm them off to cleethorpes. If the coaching staff there are that good bring them here.Who was the last goalkeeper or outfielder to come through the ranks and hold his position
September 12, 2022 at 5:44 pm #244846I can only say JGNK I haven’t seen George have a great game this season but of the games I have seen he hasn’t been any worse than the others, I think all the team have been indifferent, in fact our worst game for conceding was against Solihull and he didn’t play that day.
September 12, 2022 at 6:23 pm #244847Can he play as a left sided centre back? Taft is abysmal, he has no desire to actually defend whatsoever.
September 13, 2022 at 3:01 pm #244871Taft makes mistakes that cost goals he appears to switch off at those times.
The Rochdale friendly set alarm bells ringing down our left side of defence.
At least Daws see what we see and knows our youngsters are simply not good enough, hence bringing in a young lad from elsewhere.
