Given the eye-watering cost of electricity, I wonder if clubs are going to struggle to run the floodlights this winter, are we going to see 2pm Saturday kick-offs? Midweek games kicking off mid-afternoon like reserve games used to?
Either way, I bet I know a club owner who will mention energy costs in his next interview!
What new owner?
Who mentioned a new owner?
Can’t see that happening Ferrite.
The costs saved from floodlights would not justify the lost fans who can’t make it, due to work commitments, I should imagine.
Illumious ball, string LED lights on goals & players with COB head band lights.
Job done.
up to now football clubs have had fixed rates I understand, but there was concern about the rising prices.
Could do early kick offs this year. Certainly needs looking at for next season would suit many to end all the midweek games and move them to the wk end.

The midweek games you mean eh Siderite? We’re not quite back to the 1850s when it became law to allow employees to finish work at 2pm!
What is a new owner ?
Isthmian lge already given permission to move game times if both teams agree.
