Iron Bru › Forums › Blast Furnace › After a promising start…..
The wheels have well and truly fallen off, things had improved immeasurably both on and off the pitch at the friendlies I went to and the Yeovil game. Then yesterday it was like I had travelled back in time, shambolic service in the Iron Bar even though it was the quietest I have seen it in a long time the service was painfully slow and the people serving were utterly clueless, rude and power crazed “stewards” that didn’t even know where the fire assembly point was, catering points with no hot food left at half time, half the lights not working in the toilets and wading through an inch of piss all over the floor, and the worst performance I have ever seen from any Scunthorpe United team on the pitch…..the club is a joke from top to bottom!

Bottom!!!, well pre season and the Yeovil game must just have been a midsummers night’s dream.
There were some positives yesterday:
1) Taft looked more comfortable with experience to his left side. Am not saying he played a blinder – but not bad.
2) Whitehouse’s work-rate was phenomenal – yes there were mistakes but he got stuck in AND won a lot of headers for a guy of no great bulk.
3) Fletcher won headers in CM and was unfazed by the general chaos.
4) Apter was a breath of fresh air. Most ball skills seen in a loanee since … since … er … erm …
Agree with 2,3 and 4 les but Taft gets me jittery when he has to play a ball near his own goal, we need another central defender within the next week IMO.
We all get that feeling, IA.
