Of all the issues that Michelle has to deal with this is the one I feel may cause most sleepless nights, the standard bills will either get paid or deferred in agreements as and when they work through Hilton’s mess.
This one line among many also may cause issues regarding ownership,
” A framed Share Certificate confirming you are a shareholder in Scunthorpe United Football Club, with 50 shares worth £1,000 allocated to you from the football club, and otherwise unavailable to purchase”
Other benefits such as a ticket for life? Surely cuts off future revenue for a club outside the TV rights of the league this is idiocy to the highest order

Michelle will need her considerable empathy to fans to steer a course through this mess of someone else’s making

I guess it depends on how many signed up for it? And how many haven’t already asked for their money back.

I’m optimistic about the Board addressing 1899 /100. It may take some time but hopefully the good will of those who signed up will make a big difference.

I agree with this. I am hopeful that the people who took an 1899 will be sensible enough to not try and hold the new regime to account for any benefits (shares and lifetime season tickets!) associated with someone else’s Ponzi nonsense.

Perhaps they, and the club, can all back away graciously while the scheme and everything associated with it are dissolved, all of them agreeing and fully accepting that it’s not workable.

It is, of course, on the club to pay these people back, and I believe they are also morally obliged to recompense them too in some way. Yet more wiping David Hilton’s arse. Unfair but necessary I’m afraid.

I have a family member who bought into the scheme. They were fully aware of the risks and have accepted their loss and will continue to buy season tickets in the future to support the new board.

I understand not everyone will be able to afford that and as 64 states, delicacy and common sense will be needed on both sides

The new owner/board have a lot to sort out. Within the group there is a lot of “Customer Care Experience”.

It will take time but they will turn it round.

The type of problem you get when shyster cowboys trying to play Billy big balls think they’re fit and proper people, and appeal to the yoof and chavs to support them, rather than the run of the mill footer fan

What’s so hard in carrying on the free season ticket for life, at the end of the day there was a maximum of 100.
