Come 5pm next Saturday and defeat at Brackley (biggest game of the season, cement their place in play offs) Would put ourselves under a lot of pressure for Tamworth home
January 6, 2024 at 6:22 pm #278908Aye always look on the bright side.
January 6, 2024 at 6:26 pm #278910Concession Army assemble!
January 6, 2024 at 6:48 pm #278913yet to see us handle pressure of the big team in town except Hereford away. If Tamworth win at at a decent Warrington i’d be getting nervous
January 6, 2024 at 7:59 pm #278916That second goal could be very costly, can’t say we didn’t deserve that because we did. We looked so good for 30 minutes, we just need to be ruthless. The minute substitutions are made we lose all flow, there was only going to be one team score second half.

January 6, 2024 at 8:05 pm #278917Kelly for Roberts was a daft one, we didn’t need another full back on, if the had brought the other central defender on or a like to like for Roberts we may have won, we invited pressure and let it slip

We could finish 14th and Dean would get a free pass with our supporters

Not from me he won’t.
January 9, 2024 at 10:55 pm #279026Is HMS Piss The League floundering around the Cape of No Hope?
January 13, 2024 at 4:33 pm #279201As I type, I’m hoping that Darlo can grab a goal and pinch a point from their game with Tamworth.
If we beat the Lambs and win our game in hand, then we may be back to parity?
January 13, 2024 at 4:35 pm #279202sad to say looking that way – can say long way to go all you like, we’re a long way behind. Anything less than a win next week don’t see anything but play-offs

January 13, 2024 at 5:09 pm #279209Even those amongst us with the most optimistic, positive, flag waving, cheery outlook must know that if we lose at home next week… then it’s the play offs.

I concur.
January 13, 2024 at 5:22 pm #279213Dean should go NOW It looks like the playoffs and I cant see us winning that either. Brackley beat us easy today and they will be with us
January 13, 2024 at 7:30 pm #279227we are fooked ..
Auto promotion no way its a dream
Playoffs .. cant turn up n performi would bet not only my smaller left testicle but my right more swollen semen holding ball bag we will be in this shit league again next year in a worse position as all our ” superstars” will leave except Butterfield who will be manager.
January 13, 2024 at 7:42 pm #279229Was brought in by David the Fraudster to do a job. Did the 1st part with ease – we got relegated.
The 2nd part – you decide.

an astute observation 64 .. ONE IM NOT IN TOTAL DISAGREEMENT WITH as its all going pear shaped
January 13, 2024 at 8:24 pm #279232Oh ye of little faith. Best player out injured, second best player gone back to Hearts, leading goalscorer suspended, numerous squad players farmed out on loan, It would have been more surprising if we’d won.
We are still in the brown stuff financially, evidenced by the transfer embargo and Roberts revealing he paid for his own operation.
There’s still 19 games to play. I will back the board, manager, coaches and players to give it a good shot and not start panicking yet.1 user thanked author for this post.
January 13, 2024 at 9:42 pm #2792392/5ths of the season to go.
19 games – everything to play for.
Come on Jimbob, your ‘system’ ain’t working. Time to change it… whilst we’ve still time.January 14, 2024 at 11:01 am #279262More about being frustrated than panicking TJO, most us wanted and expected us to be in the playoffs come end of season, and that’s about a fair position we deserve on what I’ve seen, in all honesty we’ve never consistently looked liked a team that would win the League, haven’t seen a team to be frightened of even if it is the playoffs so other than being frustrated and not pushing on I’m happy after what we’ve enjoured of late.

January 14, 2024 at 3:48 pm #279271Paul hurst for manager for me, it’s a no brainer.
January 14, 2024 at 8:15 pm #279288Why is it a ‘no brainer’?
January 14, 2024 at 8:55 pm #279289Butterfield, player manager once Jimbob’s contract expires.
January 14, 2024 at 9:20 pm #279291Butterfield, player manager once Jimbob’s contract expires.
Let’s not. Possibly offer him a coaching position but a lot to ask to stick him in as manager with no experience. I wouldn’t mind Nelson back, I thought he was fantastic with what little he had to work with.
The style of football was very easy on the eye at times and gave us freedom to attack.
January 14, 2024 at 9:35 pm #279293Where has the sudden Butterfield for manager idea come from. Has he any coaching qualifications or experience? Is he interested in coaching?
He is a fine footballer and I love to watch him play but have seen no evidence of any leadership qualities or any desire to influence or direct his team mates.
Many players way better than Jacob have made bloody awful managers.
January 14, 2024 at 9:56 pm #279295Only seen Rene advocating it. I’ve no idea of his coaching skills, abilities, qualifications or desire to coach.
