You can scoff all you like….
11 points off Grimsby is my favourite stat!
Safety, first, if we make the playoffs all well and good, but we need to keep the consistency up, We seem to have found the best eleven now with proper changes in rotation instead of playing players out of position, Karacan and Taft are great signings, do we put them down to young Swann.
I thought his brief was to identify young players and I read that Howard was responsible for Karacan being here.
Makes those points gifted to Southend, Grimsby, Stevenage and Barrow even more sickening doesn’t it.
Sure does ‘tash.
Those extra 12 pts would have put us top of the league!
I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say those four games defined the first half of the season.
Not trying to beat anybody over the head, but where are the team really,a few weeks ago we had the worst Scunny team ever,to one with not to much luck could be top of the league according to posters on here. Maybe we should give Cox more credit I really don’t know, please bare in mind I haven’t seen any of the games this year.
Who said anything about luck?
The team was woeful in those games (and others) so we deserved Jack Shit.
Loft on his own is a grazing donkey. Loft supported by another striker is effective. A defence with Cordner and Bedeau in the centre leaked goals. A defence with Manny plus Taft/McGahey can keep three clean sheets in a row.
A midfield with Karacan in it gives Eisa and Gilliead more freedom to attack.
Cox tan take credit for this, but it shouldn’t have taken 20+ games to figure it out.
As Cox couldnt sign anyone until January, dont see how he could change much. Surely had to play the hand he was dealt with…
Absolutely, but had he played the right players in their correct positions, using a system with which they were familiar, results just might have been better.
In Cox’s defence he took over a cobbled together squad and had to somehow make a purse out of a sows ear. Took a while and a more experienced manager would have struggled.
As someone else posted the “spine”is looking more solid and confidence building as a consequence.
The headless chickens of a few games ago are benefitting from the experienced pros recently signed.
Some of whom have improved considerably, Loft a prime example.
