I’m wondering what would have happened had we got into the playoffs on the last day of the 2015/16 season. We were in a great run under Alexander and think we’d have gone up. Seem to remember someone possibly Sheffield United fielding a weakened side against our rivals on the last day of the season for the last play off place. Just trying to focus on anything other than the appalling reality of the last three seasons and inevitable non league oblivion. Maybe we’d now be an established championship team 😂
It was Wigan who played the weakened side. We had a great day playing Sheffield United off the park at Brammall Lane. They were so bad Adkins got the sack.
We were very good, how times have changed no thanks to Swann.
I worked with a Wigan season ticket holder – they had their end of season party before the Barnsley match – they were all steaming

Proper professional players then!!! Disgusting attitude.
We’d have over-stretched ourselves massively in the Championship trying to keep up and would have been even more screwed by now.
With the current astute businessman in charge Ferrite you are completely correct, he would have been gunning for the Premiership paying KVV £60,000 a week on 9000 gates.
Yeovil Town anyone?
Yeovil Town anyone?
Pretty much! Southend and Grimsby were regulars in the Championship around 15 years ago too.

Unlikely given our fan base. But no reason to lose 50% of our fan base as Swann has achieved since that day.
