A complete shambles all round and how anyone can defend the current set up is beyond me.
Only a couple are trying Cliff and even they are almost running on empty. One of them might be along in a minute with a reason to be positive but only if we’ve signed a keeper and 3 others.
From what I’ve read I’m convinced he is a club stooge. Not that it matters.
The irony about the whole situation is if the club were at least open and honest about how poor sales how have been, and how desperate they are to turn things around, it could galvanise a few hundred diehards to purchase tickets.
As it stands we are operating like a totalitarian state.
July 19, 2021 at 6:34 pm #210594Funny that BS, we started with a draw, loss, and a win, not quite the 8 straight losses you said, but don’t let a few lies stop you pedaling your narratave. Are you not getting a season ticket? You should have said.
July 19, 2021 at 6:55 pm #210597Heard today from a person that works down there that we have sold just under a 1000 season tickets.

July 20, 2021 at 9:52 am #210626I believe the figure to be higher then most on here think. I have spoken to 2 different people in the office and although no figures were given to me they both said season tickets had gone really well with people looking forward to seeing live football again. As I said no numbers given but the women in the office seemed genuine in what they said.
July 20, 2021 at 11:18 am #210634I really hope this is the case but …
July 20, 2021 at 11:50 am #210635How many do we normally sell? 1,000?

No employee would say anything that contradicts the figure they are told !!
They wouldn’t dare !!

This information Smudg must obviously be provided to you by Awaywego99.
It will be another little snippet provided by the management, like the new stadium, appartments, refurbishments, and Championship football, we gobbled up all of these for the first six years, but we just ignor them now.
July 22, 2021 at 12:35 pm #210758I am deeply concerned by this disconnect between the club and the Iron supporters.
It is clear that whatever the supporters may be blamed for – this is 100% the club’s fault.
Is there nobody with any wisdom on their side? (It is now a question of sides, I fear.)
Might not Neil be granted a little freedom to make the odd communication? He is the nearest we have been allowed during the close season.2 users thanked author for this post.
July 23, 2021 at 12:28 am #210792The club do not have any intention of talking to it’s supporters, it just wishes to instruct them or tell them what THEY have decided and what is going to happen. Just like running up a large debt, or cgharging extra with a new car parking charge of £5 instead of the £3, or by taking the clubs ground, car park and training pitch land and placing into their own ownership, they just act on their own ideas without any talks or consultations with fans that have supported the club ever since entering the Football League.
This latest cashless stadium is another killer blow to attendances, not all fans have Bank cards, and lots do not even own or access a computer, all they will now do is join the many others that have had their share of being given constant bull shit and watching boring defensive so called football.
Lets guess what the clubs next brainwave is ??????????????????????????

July 23, 2021 at 11:38 am #210800You continue to talk out your arse BS, what part of the club do we own that we should be consulted on? Can’t believe people with money don’t have a bank card, and why do you need a computer to purchase a ticket?

We don’t own any of the Club, we know that. It is, however, common practice for businesses (particularly successful ones) to connect with their customers and establish their needs. Any connection between our club and fans has disappeared, they occasionaly ask for feedback but then largely choose to ignore it. You’re the only one who appears to have chosen the new kit for example.
July 23, 2021 at 1:57 pm #210807Yes me and the grand kids voted for the shirt, bit like trying to find out who voted Tory ( maybe excluding the last election) but some others must have. The club survey was a connection with the club, the fans panel is a connection with the club, the cheap and free buses were a connection with the club, the junior iron is an excellent connection with the club. Man of the match from the iron bar nice connection with the club, when said player comes down to collect it amongst the fans, what connection do you want Cass, personally I just go to watch the football.
July 23, 2021 at 3:10 pm #210810Just bought some concert tickets via a ticketing website. Straight away I got a confirmation email along with another asking me to review the site and offer my feedback.
It’s called customer service. If I buy my next match ticket online will I get an email from the Pawn asking me “how did we do today?”
Yesterday I had my mate on the phone complaining that his club – National League North Chester, had gone cashless and what on Earth was he going to do? So I reckon the vast majority of professional football clubs will be following suite.
Gonna be like it or lump it I’m afraid.
July 23, 2021 at 5:35 pm #210814” The club survey was a connection with the club, the fans panel is a connection with the club” – only if the Club act on the results.
“the cheap and free buses were a connection with the club” – absolutely right, sadly it’s WERE.
“Man of the match from the iron bar nice connection with the club” – isn’t that a fans initiative?
“what connection do you want Cass” – I want to continue to feel a part of the Club I’ve supported for years, a valued supporter not an outsider. You clearly think that’s too much to ask.
July 23, 2021 at 5:36 pm #210815Well you did say about going cashless in another thread NI, would seem you are right, iam sure all government’s and company’s have learnt a lot on how to change things during covid, certainly pushed us a lot further than I thought the British public would accept. Imo we will pay for it in the long run.
