League starts.
July 24, 2020 at 4:52 pm #192437League starts.
Maybe, let’s wait and see.
July 24, 2020 at 5:33 pm #192438Well that what the PL and EFL say unless there is another wave of the Virus.
July 25, 2020 at 9:13 am #192442To which I was referring mick,I admire their efforts to get the new season up and running but we are all still a long way from any kind of life normality never mind football returning. Also unless a financial package is agreed for EFL clubs, I can see a lot of clubs going under before a ball is kicked and if so where is your league structure and new season then? Keep everything crossed guys.
July 25, 2020 at 12:13 pm #192445Got to get back to normality and footy will be the next step, just got back from holiday it was very near norm were we were just staff wearing masks.,
July 25, 2020 at 12:19 pm #192447Normality won’t stop small clubs going bust without financial assistance.
July 26, 2020 at 12:33 pm #192500I still don’t see how this will work, unless you can get several thousand people in the grounds. How are clubs going to afford to take players off furlough if they can’t generate enough through the turnstiles to pay the wages?
July 26, 2020 at 8:25 pm #192506Just have to wear masks? If it’s fine for big shopping centres and airports etc. then don’t see the problem with inside a football stadium.
July 26, 2020 at 8:46 pm #192509The government will still insist on social distancing, plus the problems surrounding toilets and food outlets. Look how Spain has gone after being shut down for the first initial period, as for the USA, complete joke the way that country is running it’s handling of the virus. This government does not care about football and will keep it shut down the first chance it gets if a sniff of a second wave arises and it will. We will need a lot of luck to watch any sort of season in the EFL come October.
July 27, 2020 at 8:43 am #192519Even with social distancing scunny would have more than enough capacity, most fans don’t attend just by them selves, so little bubbles of 6 all ground the ground would suffice, as for toilets they still use them on aeroplanes, and the food outlets are just takeaways that have been open from day one, just common sense is needed not spanners in the way.
July 27, 2020 at 9:49 am #192522What’s the date for the start of the ground refurbishment?
July 27, 2020 at 10:45 am #192528What’s the date for the start of the ground refurbishment?
Two years after the nation gets inoculated for corona virus I believe. 🤔
July 27, 2020 at 6:06 pm #192540Well I have seen every home league game at The Sands Siri since it was built, but I am not very enthusiastic in renewing for next season, not sure what will happen at the start of season and what will happen to the club or division.
July 27, 2020 at 6:41 pm #192550Scientists are doing research into the effects of shouting and chanting in crowds on the spread of corvid19 ready for their return.
No problem for the Iron, the only sound from the west stand is ‘pass me another mint’.July 27, 2020 at 7:53 pm #192553come on mick, your in the 89th minute now keep playing till the end.
July 27, 2020 at 8:20 pm #192554I’m like the team for the last few years they give up in the 89th minute.
July 27, 2020 at 11:21 pm #192561come on mick, your in the 89th minute now keep playing till the end.
Yeah come on mick, just because your in a very vulnerable age group and you have underlying health issues and you may get a life threatening virus that is spreading over large parts of the world that will probably kill you in your age and condition if you catch it. Are you saying you won’t go to GP to watch Scunny because you might die? What’s the matter with you, aren’t you a real fan like pylon boy and…… Oh wait, could die, yeah good choice mick.
July 28, 2020 at 6:03 pm #192585Thought Mick was on about the footy, what’s this life threatening virus your on about Ironawe?
July 28, 2020 at 7:02 pm #192590You’ve always had a problem reading posts through properly and not absorbing content, I won’t be bothering explaining basic common sense to you anymore, you seem incapable of understanding basic logic. Either that or your intending to be clever with your response and as usual failing miserably.
July 28, 2020 at 7:42 pm #192593and you dont seem to grasp the meaning of life Ironawe, life without social interaction, sport, holidays, and experiences is no life at all.The common sense thing to do is to get back out there and support everyone in work, spend your money go to the pub, cafes, holidays, help everyone its really not bad out there .

A futile sacrifice always goes down well. Capt. Oates went down in history.
July 28, 2020 at 8:38 pm #192596I’ve got to agree with Awaywego and didn’t have a clue what Iron-awe was on about, but found it funny and some parts were true.
July 29, 2020 at 8:20 am #192599I find it ironic that Ironawe is so risk averse to coming out of covid, Yet when it comes to the footy he doesn’t want Wilcox our biggest risk averse manager we have had in recent years, “And he slabs me off for not understanding basic logic”

You should move to America. You’d fit in well.
July 29, 2020 at 1:10 pm #192609……or maybe Barcelona.
July 29, 2020 at 1:28 pm #192610But scunny don’t play in America or Barcelona, I will just be a good citizen and carry on going to cafe’s,pubs and hotels for food, holidays abroad, just come back from Corfu last Friday been on trains, buses and planes and a boat (no taxis) can’t wait for Monday for”eat out to help out”. Everyone Should all start doing there bit the whole country needs you too.
July 29, 2020 at 3:07 pm #192614I’m reminded of the old Nexus Mariner thread from a few years back after our promotion to the Championship, ” Down by Christmas “, he visited Bru many times during that Championship season and posted some fantastic hilarious stuff which the majority of the board thoroughly enjoyed. How about ” Dead by Christmas ” for those rushing headlong into the brave new world without seemingly a care or a concern over the consequences? Just a thought.

If you’re comfortable with that then fine. However, many aren’t.
Talking to the landlady in my local on Sunday as I was the only one in for twenty minutes.
Agreed that you can only do so much and if customers are still not comfortable with the arrangements they won’t “get back out there”. You can’t force people back no matter how much YOU want them to, and with government guidelines still ambiguous at best and downright confusing at worst normally is still light years away.
July 29, 2020 at 7:03 pm #192623yes your probably right NI you cant force people back i will just try to encourage, glad to see your doing your bit.
