As Deereyme66 stated in his first post-“ I wouldn’t claim I know whether or not the AZ vaccine is safe(we have to trust it is and time will tell).”
Time is the vital ingredient- all “non-emergency” vaccines take decades to be approved and deemed safe for the public to use.
These “emergency vaccines” haven’t had the benefit of years and years of study and as you say “ fingers crossed” they’re safe .If over the coming years revelations of severe side effects are revealed no compensation will be given unfortunately.
