Resenting the fact that some get good pensions while you don’t, is like saying ‘I’ve just been mugged”
The company you worked “all over the world” for has certainly mugged you!
Either that or you mugged yourself by not taking out a personal pension plan whilst you were earning.
Or did you not expect to live that long?
Bloody NHS keeping us healthy!
Northumbiron—-So you say that the company that I worked for overseas for 40 years mugged me for not providing the offer of a pension, this was not possible and simple likeyou are saying pal, because during those years, I worked for probaly twelve different companies, some Japs, some American, some Singaporian, one Libyan and one French, and some of these on three or four times on different contracts in different countries. So not possible to join any pensions, but do not get me wrong, I am not saying that I should get more pension from the state, my reference was just to say that I had to manage on that money, so £30,000 is not too bad compared to my £9,180. The problem is that there are too many of us old codgers drawing state pensions and all the different benefits that are on offer, and on top of this bloody virus, the pot is empty, and on top of that we have a debt of 2.24 trillion that we shall never be able to pay back.
