Might have helped if the Sun the Mail, the Telegraph, the Times, the BBC, ITV had run a campaign of stories about Johnson rewarding an IRA defending, genocide denying, paedophile supporting charlatan!

I agree, which was part of my motivation in bringing this up. I am making it clear to those on the right that this is not a person to befriend, nor can you argue for her without appearing a hypocrite after condemning Corbyn for the same. The honours list has always been political, but this time round it seems particularly shameless in its sycophancy. It’s nothing but a reward for loyalty to Johnson.
I wouldn’t have bothered with Corbyn in this thread until Deerey brought it up and I felt like needing to defend my views on that wretched man. People talk of a smear campaign against him, but much of the stuff was problematic from the source; it wasn’t the press which made him make a defence of anti-Semites, nor casting doubt on our own military research in a Trumpian manner over the Skripals. We cannot complain of smear campaigns when the public could base their opinions on him on this and not the press.
Surely we can have reasonable debate on here, and I don’t think I’ve been impolite in discussions, so I don’t see the problem with discussing the topic at hand or branches off from it with Corbyn.
