Iron Bru can reveal Scottish Premier League side Motherwell have joined the race for former Scunthorpe United striker Kevin van Veen.
Motherwell are in pole position to land the Dutchman on a free transfer with boss Graham Alexander keen to reunite with Van Veen, who was a key part of the Scunthorpe squad Alexander led into the League One play offs in 2016/17.
It is understood Van Veen has been in Scotland for talks at Fir Park but The Well face stiff competition for the former signature, with another Scottish side and a host of Football League clubs also monitoring the situation.
The 30 year old fans favourite racked up 41 goals and 20 assists over two spells with the club, but was released this summer following an injury ravaged 20/21 campaign.
