Iron Bru understand Scottish giants Celtic have won the race for out of contract Scunthorpe United youngster Joey Dawson.
Dawson has rejected long term professional deal to stay at the Sands Venue Stadium and it is understood he has passed a medical at Celtic Park ahead of his move north of the border.
Scunthorpe will receive a fee for the 17 year old, who had also attracted the interest of a host of Championship clubs.
He made his only appearance for the Iron in the Carabao Cup against the Rams in 2019, when he became the club’s youngest ever player during a late cameo as a substitute.
